- U.S. Department of State’s Bureau for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Brazil Youth Ambassadors. This program aims to develop a cadre of young adults in Brazil and the United States who have a strong sense of civic responsibility, a commitment to community development, an awareness of current & global issues and strong interpersonal leadership skills.
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Water Resource Management, Mongolia. This program is designed to demonstrate conflict management within the context of water rights and conservation including how water is measured and monetized.

- Teachers from the Teaching Excellence & Achievement Program with the MSU Office of International Programs.
March 2012
- Open World, Accountable Governance, Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz delegation will travel here to examine the theme of government oversight in regards to strengthening regional and local Legislatures.
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Women as Political Leaders, Regional. This program is organized to explore principal issues around which American women have organized and influenced change; examine models for leadership training and networking; and consider women’s experiences in running for and holding elected office.
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Immunology, Mongolia. This program will examine vaccine development, monoclonal antibody production, best practices in laboratory management and bio-safety standards.
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Sustainable Tourism, China. This delegation will explore the issue of sustainable tourism and cultural preservation in the U.S. and examine applicable models for tourism management that focus on site preservation, protection and conservation, as well as the need to sustain local economies.
April 2012
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Preventing Domestic Abuse and Violence, Single Country. This program is organized to explore the roles of government, the legal and health professions, academia, and nonprofit organizations in understanding, preventing, and eliminating domestic violence.
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Drug Abuse Prevention, Education and Rehabilitation, Regional. This program is designed to demonstrate the diversity of drug abuse prevention and education initiatives through partnerships among key stakeholders — parents, community leaders, local and state governments, law enforcement, educators, researchers, and treatment professionals.
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Mining Transparency and Responsibility in the US, Senegal. This program is designed around visiting mining sites and meeting with mining industry representatives to hear the industry perspective on US mining; and examining issues posed by environmental and citizens groups about the mining industry.
May 2012
- International Visitor Leadership Program, Women and Entrepreneurship, Multi-Regional. This program will examine entrepreneurial efforts in the US, particularly those initiated by women and illustrate the essential role of non-governmental and grassroots organizations in supporting and empowering the development of women-owned businesses.
June 2012
- Open World, Environmental Management, Russia. The Russian delegation will travel to Montana to examine how university professors and researchers, youth leaders and NGO leaders handle various environmental issues.
